Launch Given a "Go" by Review

In preparation for the launch of NASA's twin moon-bound GRAIL spacecraft aboard a United Launch Alliance Delta II rocket on Thursday, the final Launch Readiness Review concluded this morning with a "go" for launch. The prelaunch news conference will follow at 1 p.m. EDT (10 a.m. PDT) and can be seen live on NASA TV and on the web at www.nasa.gov/ntv.

With the development of a low pressure trough, forecasters now are giving a 40 percent chance of good weather at launch time for both Thursday or Friday's liftoff from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station's Space Launch Complex 17B in Florida. There are two instantaneous launch windows at 8:37:06 a.m. and 9:16:12 a.m.

NASA has invited 150 followers of the agency's Twitter account to Florida for a two-day launch "Tweetup" on Wednesday and Thursday that will culminate with the launch
